क्यो न हो गाजर घास के उपयोग की बात
गाजर घास के साथ मेरे दो दशक (भाग-11)
देश-विदेश मे मुठ्ठी भर लोग ऐसे भी है जो कि गाजर घास के सम्भावित उपयोग की बात कर रहे है। उनका कहना है कि गाजर घास का उपयोग निकल जाये तो यह अपने आप कम होने लगेगी। गाजर घास की तरह ही बहुत सी वनस्पतियाँ विदेशो से भारत लायी गयी जो बाद मे खरपतवार बन कर पूरे देश मे आम लोगो विशेषकर किसानो के लिये सिरदर्द बन गयी। बेशरम जिसका वैज्ञानिक नाम आइपोमिया कार्निया है, को हरी खाद बनाने के लिये विदेश से लाया गया था। बकायदा भारत से विशेषज्ञ गये और अपने विवेकानुसार निर्णय लेकर बिना भारतीय परिस्थितियो को जाने इसे ले आये। आज भी हमारे बीच वे किसान है जो बता सकते है कि कैसे बैड-बाजे के साथ ट्रक मे इसे लादकर उनके इलाको मे लाया गया था और बडा समारोह आयोजित किया गया था। आप उस समय को आज एक और विदेशी पौधे जैट्रोफा (रतनजोत) के स्वागत की तरह मान सकते है। आज देश के बहुत से बडे और प्रभावशाली लोग सिर्फ इसी की बात कर रहे है वैसे ही बेशरम के साथ हुआ उस समय।
किसानो को प्रेरित किया गया कि वे इसे अपनाये। कुछ किसानो ने अपनाया भी पर जब इस पौधे ने किसानो के खेतो मे ही कब्जा जमाना आरम्भ किया तो उन्होने बिना किसी देरी और डर इसे उखाड फेका। धीरे-धीरे पूरे देश मे किसानो ने यही प्रतिक्रिया दी और इस तरह पौधो को उखाड फेका। अब यह तथाकथित पौधा किसानो के लिये खरपतवार बन गया। इसे खरपतवार का दर्जा मिलने के बाद विशेषज्ञो ने इसे नष्ट करने शोध आरम्भ किये। शीघ्र ही रसायनो की लम्बी सूची तैयार हो गयी। किसानो ने इनके प्रयोग मे रुचि नही दिखायी। पर प्रयोग जारी रहे। इस बीच आम लोगो ने बेशरम के बहुत से उपयोग खोज निकाले।
आज इसके सभी पौध भागो से पशु चिकित्सा की औषधीयाँ बनायी जाती है। इसकी पत्तियो के रस के बाहरी प्रयोग से ल्यूकोडर्मा नामक रोग की चिकित्सा की जाती है। किसान इसकी सूखी शाखाओ को बाड के रुप मे उपयोग करते है। यद्यपि इसे जलाने पर इसका धुँआ नुकसान करता है पर फिर भी बहुत से लोग इसे जलाने के काम मे भी लाते है। खरपतवारो को उपयोगी मानने वाले बेशरम से अब जैविक खेती के लिये प्राकृतिक कीटनाशक बनाने मे लगे है। देश मे मध्य भाग मे तो जानकार बेशरम को खाने वाले कीडो का उपयोग भी औषधी के लिये करते है। बेशरम के इतने उपयोग तो उन लोगो के पास भी नही है जहाँ का यह मूल निवासी है। आज वे आम भारतीय की प्रयोगधर्मिता से हैरान है। इन उपयोगो ने गाँवो के आस-पास बेशरम की आबादी पर नियंत्रण रखा हुआ है। जो गल्ती योजनाकारो ने की और फिर जो काम बहुत धन खर्च करके भी हमारे वैज्ञानिक नही कर पाये उसे आम जनता ने कर दिखाया। वैज्ञानिको ने एक काम अवश्य किया। जैसे-जैसे नये प्रयोग विकसित होते गये वे इसे अच्छी भाषा मे लिखकर उसमे तकनीकी शब्द जोडकर अपने नाम से प्रकाशित करवाते गये। पर सच तो सच ही रहेगा।
ऐसा ही उदाहरण लेंटाना नामक वनस्पति का है जिसे फूलो के कारण विदेशो से लाया गया और फिर बाद मे यह भारतीय जंगलो और पडत भूमि के लिये अभिशाप बन गया। वैज्ञानिको ने शोध किया पर आम लोगो ने इसके उपयोग विकसित करने मे रुचि दिखायी। आज लेंटाना की आबादी पर इन उपयोगो के कारण अंकुश लगा हुआ है। ऐसे दसो सफल उदाहरण है हमारे सामने तो फिर क्यो न गाजर घास के लिये भी यह योजना अपनायी जाये। यहाँ मै योजना को अपनाये जाने की बात कह रहा हूँ पर यह जानता हूँ कि कोई अपनाये या नही आम लोग गाजर घास के भी उपयोग ढूँढ निकालेंगे और इस दिशा मे उन्होने काम करना आरम्भ भी कर दिया है।
