गाजर घास का रावण और होली मे गाजर घास
गाजर घास के साथ मेरे दो दशक (भाग-19)
उडीसा मे एक व्याख्यान के बाद लोगो ने सलाह दी कि यदि इस सभा मे उपस्थित प्रत्येक व्यक्ति यह ठान ले कि हर दिन वह दस लोगो को इस खरपतवार के विषय मे बतायेगा तो प्रचार का काम आसानी से और प्रभावी ढंग़ से बिना किसी व्यय के हो जायेगा। वहाँ उपस्थित लोगो ने हामी भारी और सही मायने मे बहुतो ने यह किया भी। बाद मे कई वर्षो तक उनसे सम्पर्क रहा। उन्होने मेरे सभी हिन्दी आलेखो को ले लिया और फिर उसे उडीया मे अनुवाद करके आम लोगो तक अपने खर्च पर पहुँचाया। बस्तर मे भी कई लोगो ने गोंडी भाषा मे इसे अनुवादित कर आम लोगो तक इसके विषय मे जानकारी पहुँचायी।
पिछले वर्ष मै उडीसा मे बस से यात्रा कर रहा था। पीछे की सीट पर बैठा हुआ एक स्कूली छात्र खिडकी से यात्रियो को गाजर घास दिखा रहा था और बता रहा था कि इससे कैसे नुकसान होता है। मेरी खुशी का ठिकाना नही रहा। मैने उसे अपना परिचय दिया और फिर अपने अभियान के बारे मे बताया। उसे अपने संगठन का सदस्य भी बनाया। उसने किसी व्याख्यान मे गाजर घास के बारे मे सुना था उसके बाद से वह इस छोटे पर महत्वपूर्ण कार्य मे जुट गया था। नयी पीढी के इस उत्साह से यह आस बन जाती है कि अब गाजर घास को नष्ट होने मे ज्यादा समय नही लगेगा।
जब मैने भिलाई मे औषधीय और सगन्ध फसलो की खेती के लिये सलाहकार का काम शुरु किया तो मुझे एक मारुति वैन मिली। मैने बिना देर किये इसके चारो ओर गाजर घास के विषय मे जानकारी लिखवा ली। लाल अक्षरो मे। गाडी प्रदेश भर मे घूमती थी इसलिये अपने आप लोगो के बीच इसका प्रचार हो जाता था। घर वालो के लिये यह अजींब सी बात थी। रिश्तेदारो ने भी कहा कि नयी गाडी पर ऐसा मत लिखो। बहुत बार बहुत से लोग इस तरह की प्रचार गाडी मे बैठने से मना कर देते थे। हद तो उस समय हो गयी जब मैने अपने घर के सामने ‘घातक खरपतवार गाजर घास को नष्ट करे’ नारे को स्थायी तौर पर लिखवा लिया। इस पर काफी हो हल्ला हुआ। कहा गया कि इससे घर की सुन्दरता बिगडेगी और ऐसे नारे घरो के सामने नही लिखवाये जाते पर मैने हर उपलब्ध अवसर का लाभ उठाया। आज भी घर के सामने यह लिख हुआ है और सामने से गुजरने वालो का ध्यान यह आकर्षित करता है। बहुत से लोग अन्दर आ कर जानकारी भी माँगते है।
कृषि की शिक्षा के दौरान मैने अपने गाँव खुडमुडी मे एक नि:शुल्क परामर्श केन्द्र आरम्भ किया था। इस केन्द्र के माध्यम से वैज्ञानिको को किसानो से मिलने का सीधा अवसर प्राप्त होता था। उस समय स्थानीय गायन मंडली की सहायता से हम लोगो ने फसलो और कीटो से सम्बन्धित कई गीतो की रचना की थी। इनमे गाजर घास पर आधारित गीत भी थे। उस समय यह योजना थी कि कैसेट के रुप मे इसे प्रसारित किया जाये। पर खर्च अधिक होने के कारण यह योजना वही की वही धरी रह गयी।
गाजर घास पर देश भर मे बच्चो के बीच प्रतियोगिताओ का आयोजन भी किया गया। पेंटिग प्रतियोगिता मे बच्चो ने तूलिका के माध्यम से जबरदस्त प्रतिक्रिया दी। रायपुर मे गणेशोत्सव बडी धूमधाम से मनाया जाता है। हर बार अच्छी झाँकी बनाने वाली समिति को पुरुस्कृत किया जाता है। इस आशा मे कि लोग गाजर घास को विषय बनाकर झाँकी बनायेंगे एक विशेष पुरुस्कार भी मैने रखवाया। हर वर्ष इसकी घोषणा की जाती है पर अभी तक किसी ने भी इस विषय को नही चुना। हमे आशा है कि आगे समितियाँ इसमे रुचि लेंगी।
यहाँ मै सीहोर के एक आयोजन की बात सामने रखना चाहूंगा। यहाँ दशहरे मे हर बार रावण का पुतला गाजर घास से बनाया जाता है। ऐसे आयोजन सभी जगह होने लगे तो न केवल गाजर घास का फैलाव रुकेगा बल्कि आम लोगो मे जागरुकता भी आयेगी। मैने अपने स्तर पर होली पर गाजर घास को जलाने की पहल की है। हर बार हरे पेडो को जलाया जाता है इतना समझाने बुझाने के बाद भी। हम लोग आम लोगो को सुझाव देते है कि वे गाजर घास और ब्लूमिया नामक खरपतवारो को जलाये। गाजर घास इससे खत्म होगी और ब्लूमिया के जलने से मच्छरो से मुक्ति मिलेगी। दोनो ही खरपतवार आसानी से मिल जाते है और दोनो ही का नियंत्रण जरुरी है।
इतने सारे छोटे-छोटे प्रयासो से बढकर यदि एक बार लोकप्रिय लोग सार्वजनिक मंच से इसके लिये अपील कर दे तो पूरा देश इसे जान जायेगा। पता नही यह कब सम्भव होगा?
