गाजर घास का औषधीय उपयोग: एक अनछुआ पहलू
गाजर घास के साथ मेरे दो दशक (भाग-13)
प्राचीन भारतीय ग्रंथो मे यह लिखा है कि इस धरती मे पायी जाने वाली कोई भी वनस्पति बेकार नही है। यह मनुष्य की अज्ञानता है जो उसने कुछ वनस्पतियो को उपयोगी मान लिया है और शेष को बेकार की श्रेणी मे डाल दिया है। दुनिया के उन भागो जहाँ गाजर घास की उत्पत्ति हुयी है, मे आज भी मूल निवासी गाजर घास का प्रयोग बतौर औषधी करते है। दुनिया भर मे इसके औषधीय उपयोगो को संकलित कर मैने कई हिन्दी लेख लिखे फिर वैज्ञानिक समुदाय तक बात पहुँचाने के लिये एक शोध-पत्र भी प्रकाशित किया। बहुत लोगो को गाजर घास के औषधीय उपयोग जानकर हैरानी हुयी। आमतौर जब हम किसी पौधे के हानिकारक गुणो को जान जाते है तो फिर इसके अच्छे गुणो को अनदेखा कर बस उससे पूरी तरह नफरत करने लगते है। पर जैसा कि हमारे प्राचीन ग्रंथ कहते है सभी वनस्पतियो मे मानव की उपयोगिता के लिये कुछ न कुछ तो है। आप धतूरे का ही उदाहरण ले। इसके बीजो का चूर्ण थोडी मात्रा मे ही आपकी जान ले सकता है। इसे अत्यंत जहरीले पौधे की श्रेणी मे रखा जाता है। पर जानकार इसी जहरीलेपन का लाभ उठाकर इससे औषधी तैयार लरते है और कैसर जैसे आधुनिक रोगो की चिकित्सा करते है। इसी जहरीलेपन का लाभे उठाकर इसके विभिन्न भागो का प्रयोग जैविक कृषि मे किया जाता है।
आपको यह जानकर आश्चर्य होगा कि होम्योपैथी चिकित्सा पद्धति मे जिस पार्थेनियम नामक दवा का उल्लेख मिलता है वह गाजर घास से ही बनायी जाती है। आज दुनिया भर मे इस दवा का प्रयोग हो रहा है और जाने-अनजाने लोग गाजर घास के औषधीय गुणो से लाभांवित हो रहे है। गाजर घास से बनने वाली यह दवा विदेशो से आती है। मैने अपने लेखो के माध्यम से बहुत बार भारतीय होम्योपैथी विशेषज्ञो से यह अनुरोध किया है कि वे भारत मे उग रही गाजर घास से यह दवा बनाये और देखे कि यह बाहरी दवा से कितनी अधिक उपयोगी है। यदि यह अधिक उपयोगी निकली तो फिर तो गाजर घास के उपयोग की दिशा मे एक और राह निकल पडेग़ी।
मै होम्योपैथी दवाओ के कृषि मे प्रयोग की सम्भावना पर कार्य कर रहा हूँ। विज्ञान की इस नयी शाखा को एग्रोहोम्योपैथी (Agrohomoeopathy) कहा जाता है। दुनिया भर मे गिने-चुने लोग ही इस पर काम कर रहे है। मैने अपने प्रयोगो मे जिन होम्योपैथिक दवाओ को अपनाया उनमे पार्थेनियम भी शामिल है। कई फसलो मे इसके अच्छे परिणाम देखने को मिले। मेरा मानना है कि यदि मेरे प्रयोग सफल होते है तो बडी मात्रा मे गाजर घास की आवश्यकता होगी होम्योपैथी दवा बनाने के लिये। इससे हम गाजर घास का उपयोग कर इसकी आबादी को समाप्त कर सकेंगे।
कुछ वर्षो पहले मै वनौषधीयो का व्यापार करने वाले लोगो के बीच घूम रहा था छत्तीसग़ढ मे। जैसा आप जानते ही है छत्तीसगढ से प्रतिवर्ष टनो वनौषधीयो की आपूर्ति देश-विदेश मे की जाती है। व्यापारियो से बात करते हुये अचानक ही मुझे पता चला कि कलकत्ता की किसी फर्म ने दस टन गाजर घास की सूखी जडो की माँग की थी। यह चौकाने वाली बात थी। बाद मे पता चला कि इससे औषधी बनाने के लिये फर्म द्वारा कई गोपनीय प्रयोग किये जा रहे है। भले ही ये प्रयोग गोपनीय हो पर यह खुशी की बात है कि गाजर घास की उपयोगिता पर सभी स्तर पर प्रयास हो रहे है।
दशको से गाजरघास के साथ रहते हुये देश के मध्य भाग के पारम्परिक चिकित्सको ने भी इसके कुछ औषधीय उपयोग खोज निकाले है। वे गाजर घास का प्रयोग दैनिक जीवन मे कर रहे है। मैने अपने मधुमेह की वैज्ञानिक रपट मे विस्तार से लिखा है कि कैसे गाजर घास के पौध भागो का प्रयोग अन्य वनस्पतियो के गुणो मे वृद्धि के लिये ये पारम्परिक चिकित्सक करते है।
गाजर घास मे औषधीय गुण है-यह नया जोश भरने वाली बात हो सकती है आपके लिये पर हमे यह भी नही भूलना चाहिये कि इससे तरह-तरह की एलर्जी और रोग होते है। यह मनुष्य़ॉ के अलावा हमारे पशुओ और वन्य जीवो के लिये भी अभिशाप है। वनो मे इसका फैलाव देशी जडी-बूटियो के अस्तित्व को समाप्त कर रहा है। गाजर घास से औषधी बनाने के प्रयोग केवल इसलिये किये जा रहे है कि इससे गाजर घास समाप्त हो जायेगी। इसका यह कतई मतलब नही है कि गाजर घास को उखाडना हम बन्द कर दे या इसकी खेती आरम्भ कर दी जाये। सभी प्रयोग आरम्भिक स्तर पर है।
मुझे ढेरो पत्र आते है दुनिया भर से कि हम गाजर घास का औषधीय उपयोग करना चाहते है। मै उनसे भी यही अनुरोध करता हूँ कि यह जानकारो के बस की बात है। आम लोगो को प्रयोगो के पूर्ण होने की प्रतीक्षा करनी चाहिये। अति उत्साह घातक भी हो सकता है।
