क्या महंगे विदेशी फलो के खराब निकलने की समस्या से आप भी जूझ रहे है?

आजकल भारतीय शहरो मे स्टीकर लगे विदेशो से आयातित फल धडल्ले से बिक रहे है। इसका नियमित प्रयोग सबके बस की बात नही है क्योकि ये बहुत महंगे होते है। मसलन अभी रायपुर मे अयातित सेव का दाम 120 रुपये किलो है और एक किलो मे मुश्किल से पाँच सेव चढते है। फुटकर मे देखे तो 20-30 रुपये का एक सेव। आजकल चिकित्सक मरीजो को इन्ही महंगे फलो को उपयोग मे लाने की सलाह दे रहे है। यही कारण है कि सुबह विदेशी फलो से सजी दुकान शाम तक खाली हो जाती है।
कुछ दिनो पहले एक मित्र के साथ मै फलो की दुकान पर पहुँचा। आयातित नाशपाती लेने का मन हुआ। एक-एक किलो हमने ले लिया। घर जाकर जब उसे काटा तो अन्दर फलो की स्थिति इस चित्र की तरह थी। यह खाने लायक नही था। ज्यादातर फल ऐसे ही निकले। हम उल्टे पैर वापस लौटे। फल महंगा था इसलिये फल वाले ने तुरंत इन्हे वापस ले लिया और बदले मे उसी जगह से दूसरे फल दे दिये। दुर्भाग्यवश नये फलो मे भी वही समस्या दिखी। फल वाले ने कहा कि आजकल इस “बीमारी” की शिकायत बहुत आ रही है। मैने पूछा कि ये फल कहाँ से आ रहे है? उसने झट से कहा, न्यूजीलैंड से।
मैने प्रभावित फलो की तस्वीरे ली और फिर पेस्टनेट नामक याहू ग्रुप मे इसके बारे मे साथी वैज्ञानिको को बताया। पेस्टनेट से दुनिया भर के सैकडो कृषि विशेषज्ञ जुडे हुये है। हर तकनीकी विषय पर आपस मे वे खुलकर चर्चा करते है और इस तरह एक-दूसरे के ज्ञान को समृद्ध करते है। पेस्टनेट मे सन्देश डालने पर व्यापक प्रतिक्रियाए हुयी। बहुत से देशो के वैज्ञानिको ने बताया कि उन्होने भी न्यूजीलैंड से आयातित फलो मे यह समस्या देखी है। यह फलो को तोडने के बाद परिवहन मे होने वाली गडबडी के कारण हुआ है। हो सकता है कि न्यूजीलैंड के किसानो के खेत मे ही इस समस्या का कारण छिपा हो। चर्चा चलती रही। इस बीच एक तीखी प्रतिक्रिया ने मुझे चौका दिया।
न्यूजीलैंड मे फलो के निर्यात से जुडे एक सलाहकार ने तीखे शब्दो मे मुझे लिखा कि यह विश्व समुदाय के सामने न्यूजीलैंड के फल व्यापार को प्रभावित करने की साजिश है। पंकज अवधिया इस बात का प्रमाण दिखाये कि ये फल न्यूजीलैंड से भारत आये है। फिर कुछ घंटो बाद उनका एक और सन्देश आया कि अधिकारिक दस्तावेजो के अनुसार न्यूजीलैंड से इस साल एक भी सेव या नाशपाती भारत नही भेजा गया है।
मैने अपने फल वाले से वह बाक्स माँगा जिसमे फल थोक मे आते है। बाक्स मे चीन की सील लगी थी। उसमे कही भी न्यूजीलैंड नही लिखा था। यह अलग बात है कि उन्हे इसे न्यूजीलैंड का बताकर बेचा जाता था। बहरहाल, मैने न्यूजीलैंड के उस सलाहकार से क्षमा माँग ली। तब तक पेस्टनेट मे चर्चा ने और जोर पकड लिया था। काफी खोजबीन के बाद वैज्ञानिको ने निष्कर्ष निकाला कि “कूल चेन” ब्रेक होने के कारण ऐसा हुआ है। सेव और नाशपाती ठंडी जलवायु के उत्पाद है। ये न्यूजीलैंड से सिंगापुर आते है। यहाँ से भारतीय और चीनी व्यापारी इसमे अपना ठप्पा लगाकर अपने बक्सो मे भरकर भारत भेजते है। इसी दौरान “कूल चेन” ब्रेक हो जाती है। “कूल चेन” मतलब किसान के खेत से फलो को एकत्र करने से लेकर उपभोक्ता के पास पहुँचने तक इन फलो को रेफ्रीजरेटर मे रखा जाना चाहिये। पर इस बात पर ध्यान नही दिया जाता है और फल खराब होने लगते है।
तो क्या चीनी व्यापारी गडबड करते है? मैने बक्से का निरिक्षण किया तो उसमे साफ-साफ लिखा था कि शून्य डिग्री मे इस बक्से को रखा जाये पर भारत मे फल विक्रेता इसका पालन नही करते है। वे खुले मे इन फलो को बेचते है। रायपुर मे तो जब पारा 46 के पार होता है तब भी खुले मे ये फल रखे जाते है। ऐसे मे इनका खराब होना तय है। ऐसा कमोबेश पूरे देश मे होता होगा। अब फल वालो को तो समझाना मुश्किल है। ऐसे मे उपभोक्ताओ को ही जागना होगा।
उपभोक्ता उन दुकानो से ऐसे फलो को ले जहाँ रेफ्रीजरेटर मे उन्हे रखा गया हो। यह सम्भव नही हो तो घर लाकर आप अपने फ्रिज मे रखकर उन्हे खराब होने से बचा सकते है। मै तो देशी फलो का हिमायती हूँ पर फिर भी जिन्हे आयातित फलो का नियमित सेवन करना पडता है उनके लिये इस वैज्ञानिक चर्चा को सामने रखना मै सही समझता हूँ। ज्यादातर घरो मे खराब फल लौटाये नही जाते है। यह रवैया ठीक नही है। आप तुरंत उसे लौटाये और बदले मे ताजे फल ले। सभी ऐसा करने लगे तो शायद फल विक्रेताओ की अक्ल ठिकाने आ जाये।
